MAF Carrefour and NAEB sign a supply of goods partnership agreement
Majid Al Futtaim Carrefour and Rwanda’s National Agricultural Export Board (NAEB) have signed a supply of goods partnership agreement in November 2020. The deal opened gates to Rwanda’s agricultural fresh produce to the market of the United Arab Emirates and the other countries of the Gulf Region.
MAF Carrefour issued the maiden order on 29th December 2020 for the first export to arrive in Carrefour’s retail outlets in January 2021. “The supply of goods partnership agreement offers a golden opportunity to Rwandan exporters in terms of market access and consistency in quality, quantity and timely delivery to meet and sustain the demand,” Ambassador Emmanuel Hategeka underscored.
Carrefour hypermarket and supermarkets operate in 30 countries across the Middle East, Africa and Asia. With its 320 stores, it serves more than 750,000 customers daily.
