Rwanda and Ras Al Khaimah to boost social economic exchanges

On 13th September 2022, Ambassador Emmanuel Hategeka had a working visit to the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah and met H.H Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah at Al Dhait Palace.

Discussions focused on strengthening social economic exchanges between Rwanda and the Emirate for mutual benefit of both peoples. 

Ras Al Khaimah economy is the 4th largest of UAE after Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah Emirates. An industrial stronghold with over 6000 factories, over 40,000 multinational companies, 8130 hotel rooms 48% of which are five star. Her population is 350,000 enjoying a GDP of close to USD 10 billion.

Meeting at RAK Tourism Department Authority

As part of his working visit to the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, Amb. Emmanuel Hategeka met Senior Managers of public and private entities in different sectors including real estate, manufacturing and tourism. The Ambassador pitched to them Rwanda’s investment and collaboration opportunities.

Meeting with Senior Managers at Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research

Amb. Emmanuel Hategeka also met Dr. Jessica Tsimprea Maluch, Director of Strategy, Research and Impact and her team at Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research, a Think-and-do-Tank based in RAK-UAE. They discussed on research promotion and knowledge exchange on Rwanda’s growth experience.
