The opportunity to invest in Rwanda and Africa has never been as lucrative – Amb. Hategeka

On 20th October 2021 in Dubai, H.E Ambassador Emmanuel Hategeka spoke at the High End Congress of Economic Diplomacy organized by the International Union of Bilateral Chambers of Commerce and Industry (IUBCCI). He presented Rwanda’s development, trade and business opportunities.

Ambassador Hategeka told the audience gathered physically and virtually that trade and strategic investments have been a cornerstone of Rwanda’s growing economy and social welfare and emphasized that visionary leadership, ambitious policies and targets laid the groundwork for a rising business hub, attractive to investors from across the world.

“Rwanda is a top destination for investment and trade for many reasons:  Rwanda is among the top 40 countries in the ease of doing business globally, the least corrupt country in East Africa, first transparent country in Africa, safe and open for everyone, among others,” Ambassador Hategeka said.  

He underscored that by trading and investing in and with Rwanda, business people and investors are not only eyeing the market of 13 million Rwandan population. They are rather establishing in a strategic gateway to the East African Community home to 177 million citizens with a combined GDP of $193 billion and importantly connecting to 1.3 billion people across 55 African Union member states with a combined gross domestic product valued at $3.4 trillion.

“For any investor considering Africa for growth and expansion, the opportunity has never been as lucrative. The time to do business with Rwanda, to Invest in Rwanda and Visit Rwanda is now, don’t wait any longer. Rwanda is open to the world!” Ambassador Emmanuel Hategeka said.
